The Seven: Seven families founded Pleasure Point in the 80s. They purchased it from a guy who ran the island as a nudist colony. Each family is the head of a “house” on the island. Think of them like senior fraternities/sororities – or modern-day “Golden Girls” arrangements. The Seven are also the town council of Pleasure Point. (There’s a chart if you’d like. See the link at the bottom of this post.)
The Atwell Family (Juno)
June Atwell: Original member of The Seven. Head of Juno Manor. Owns Something Old. She took something old and repurposed it, which ticked off her longtime friend Gail Keck. They’ve been in a feud ever since. She first appears in One in a Billionaire.
Donald “Don” Atwell: Married to June. Runs The Honey Pot Diner. First appears in One in a Billionaire.
Warren Atwell: Oldest Atwell sibling. Lawyer. May be a robot. May be interested in Avery Hunter. First appears in One in a Billionaire.
Tyson “Ty” Atwell: Second-oldest Atwell sibling. Owns Hot Box Pizza. First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
Bellamy Atwell: Atwell sibling #3. Realtor. (You haven’t met her yet.)
Callisto “Callie” Atwell: Youngest Atwell sibling. Best engineer in the world (has a mug to prove it.) Owns Liquid Lightning (gas station/liquor store/more.) First appearance is in Hard as a Rock Star.
The Daniels Family (Branwen)
Rashida Daniels: Original member of The Seven. Head of Branwen Manor. Owns Something Borrowed (where you can borrow a phone, a spicy romance book, or a ditto machine.) First appeared in One in a Billionaire.
Winifred “Fred” Daniels: Oldest daughter of Rashida. The Pleasure Principal (justice of the peace, town marshal, notary public.) First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
Tessa Anne “Tess” Daniels: Youngest daughter of Rashida. (She hasn’t shown up on Pleasure Point yet.)
The Jarrett Family (Demeter)
Chloe Jarrett: Original member of The Seven. Owns Pleasure Point’s Bed and Breakfast – Demeter House. Married to Bolt. Often the peacemaker in disputes. First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
Bolton “Bolt” Jarrett: Married to Chloe. Runs “The Bolt,” Pleasure Point’s answer to a ride-share or taxi. He also owns the island’s towing service and has EMT experience. His hair is dyed an unnatural brown. Doesn’t understand personal space. First appeared in One in a Billionaire.
Kendra “Ken” Jarrett: 2nd Jarrett sibling in the lineup. Owns Deep Divers Dive and Boat Charters. Her boat is called Net Fish and Chill. Has been pining for Jesse Barbot for decades. First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
Brock Jarrett: 3rd Jarrett sibling. Works for Saber Security. Moves like the wind. Irritated Joy Maddux in One in a Billionaire. She is planning revenge.
Boone “Boots” Jarrett: Youngest Jarrett Sibling. Owns The Horny Toad Bar, which boasts the best burgers on Pleasure Point. (They’re the only burgers on Pleasure Point.) He believes Winifred Daniels is his soulmate. She remains unconvinced. First appeared in One in a Billionaire.
The Keck Family (Hera)
Gail Keck: Original member of The Seven. Head of Hera House. Owns Something New. Has been in a feud with June Atwell for years. First appeared in One in a Billionaire.
Harrier “Harry” Keck (deceased): Gail’s husband and father to the Keck children. Olympic gold medalist. He died when Vi Keck was a senior in high school.
Dr. Violetear “Vi” Keck: Oldest Keck. Has many medical specialties. Left Pleasure Point after high school and has only been back for a few visits. She only refers to “lady and man parts” by their medical names. She’s up for Medical Director of Flamingo Cove Hospital at the start of The Birds and the Beekeeper. We first met Dr. Keck when she delivered life-changing news to Wysdom Ward in A Crazy Midlife Miracle, Flamingo Cove book 3.
Larkin “Lark” Keck: Middle child of the Keck kids. Owns Cock & Bull Meat Market. First appeared in The Birds and the Beekeeper.
Skylar “Sky” Keck: Youngest Keck. Florist. Owns Boom Boom Blooms. First appeared in The Birds and the Beekeeper.
The Maddux Family (Parvati)
Uma Maddux: Original member of The Seven. Mayor of Pleasure Point. Head of Parvati House. Owner of the hair salon, All Tangled Up. First appeared in One in a Billionaire.
Morgan Maddux: Oldest Maddux child. (He’ll show up. Eventually.)
Rafael “Rafe” Maddux: Fixer to the rich and famous. Middle child. First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
Joy Maddux: Youngest Maddux. Woman billionaire who used the alias “Blythe Boswell” until an anti-woman podcaster outed her. Invests in women-owned businesses with sustainable practices. First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
Thornton “Thorn” Pryor: Disgraced journalist and proud new owner of The Pleasure Point Press. Love interest of Joy Maddux. First appeared in One in a Billionaire.
Avery Hunter: Former news producer to Thorn Pryor. You meet Avery for the first time in One in a Billionaire.
Solomon Family (Hathor)
Winona Solomon: Original member of The Seven. Head of Hathor House. Owns Something Blue. Mom to Jake “Sol” Solomon (owner of Bellissimo Restaurant in Flamingo Cove.) If The Seven don’t get to her family’s matchmaking needs, she might burn down the island. First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
Shai Solomon: Owner of The Secret Garden adult toy store in Downtown Pleasure Point. Married to Winona Solomon. Has the patience of Job.
Strickland Family (Artemis)
Shiloh “Strick” Strickland, Senior: Member of The Seven. Head of Artemis. Owns Twigs and Berries, the vegan market. Loves to sing karaoke. Had a prominent career as a singer-songwriter in the 70s. Wrote a smash hit “Sandy Bum” for 80s pop star Chastity. First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
Sarita Strickland (deceased): Original member of The Seven. Married to Strick. First mentioned in Hard as a Rock Star.
Spencer Strickland: Oldest Strickland son. Beekeeper. Owns The Birds and the Bees, a bird and bee sanctuary on Pleasure Point. Co-owner of Queen Bees at the start of The Birds and the Beekeeper.
Shiloh “Drake” Strickland, Jr.: Youngest Strickland son. Former lead singer of Volatilizing the Esthers. He went by the name Drake Dangerthorne on stage while wearing a pound of kabuki makeup. Owns the Love Lighthouse. His love story is Hard as a Rock Star. (First appearance in the Flamingoverse, however, is in Saber Stalked. Book 2 of the Saber Sisters series.)
Darby Daire: Owns Dareoke, a karaoke DJ company. Love interest of Drake Dangerthorne in Hard as a Rock Star. (Her first Flamingoverse appearance was also in Saber Stalked.)
Selene Strickland: Strick’s twin sister. Owns Early Riser Bakery but cannot bake. Sometimes called Debbie Downer because she can tell you how many days someone has been gone from this world. First appearance is in Hard as a Rock Star.
Scott Strickland: Son of Spencer Strickland and Josephine Sadler. About to start college at the beginning of The Birds and the Beekeeper.
Other names to know:
Bloody Mary Maul, The Scourge of the Tortugas: Woman pirate in the early 18th century. Her ship, The Coxfire, went down in a hurricane, taking millions of dollars in pirate treasure with it.
Bertle the Turtle: He’s a tortoise, but there weren’t many names that rhymed with “tortoise.” You may call him Bert. First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
Ernest: The tuxedo cat of Pleasure Point. Often seen riding on the back of Bert. Do not call him “Ernie.” He’s formal. He’s wearing a tuxedo. First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
Jesse Barbot: Best friends with Kendra Jarrett since they were 12. Moved away from Pleasure Point, got married, and had a child with another woman. Recently divorced. First mention: One in a Billionaire.
Ziggy: Senior stoner. No one knows where he lives or his last name. He pops up spouting malaphors at convenient times. He is enamored with Selene Strickland, which boggles the mind. First appearance: One in a Billionaire.
